TE Connectivity Measurement Specialties MS5840-02BA Pressure Sensors

	TE Connectivity's Measurement Specialties MS5840-02BA Pressure Sensors are ultra-compact gel-filled pressure sensors that are water resistant and optimized for altimeter applications with small space constraints. The altitude resolution at sea level is 13cm of air. TE's MS5840-02BA sensor module includes a high-linearity pressure sensor and an ultra-low power 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ΔΣ ADC) with internal factory-calibrated coefficients. The sensor provides a precise digital 24-bit pressure and temperature value and different operation modes that allow the user to optimize for conversion speed and current consumption. A high-resolution temperature output allows the implementation of an altimeter / thermometer function without any additional sensor. The user can interface the MS840-02BA to any microcontroller with I2C-bus interface. The communication protocol does not require any programming of internal registers in the device. The gel protection and antimagnetic stainless-steel cap makes the module water resistant. The device's dimensions of 3.3mm x 3.3mm x 1.7mm allow integration into mobile devices.
